Attention high school and college-aged men and women

Beginning November 10, St. Francis Parish in Newark will be starting a chapter of both the Melchizedek Project for young men and AVOW for young women. They will meet the second Wednesday of each month for approximately nine sessions.

Young men and women from any parish are welcome to come to Mass at Saint Francis de Sales parish at 6:30 pm. After mass, the men will move to the parish rectory across Pearl Street and the women will move to St. Frassati room in the lower level of the school. All participants will receive a free book, free food, and good discussion with friends.

For questions and to RSVP, email Dr. Lisa Maurer, Parish Vocation Coordinator at lmaurer@stfrancisparish.net or call the parish office at 740-345-9874, ext 258.

The Melchizedek Project and AVOW are well established initiatives within our diocese and nationwide. These groups provide small group discussion and direction for young people with the goal of exploring their vocation – with special consideration given to priesthood and consecrated religious life.
