Happy Retirement Father Ghiloni!

This weekend, July 10 and 11, is Father Ghiloni’s last weekend with us before he moves into retirement. As we prepare to wish him well in this exciting next chapter of his life, let’s take a look back at his fruitful career as a priest for the Diocese of Columbus.

Father Mark was ordained in June of 1983 and became associate pastor at Sacred Heart in Coshocton. In 1987 he served as associate pastor for Saint Rose in New Lexington and Saint Bernard in Corning. From there he moved on to become pastor at Church of the Atonement in Crooksville in 1990.

In 1995 he served as pastor at Holy Redeemer in Portsmouth. Then in 2001 he moved on to Saint Anthony in Columbus and taught Theology at St. Francis DeSales for two years. In 2010 he headed to Saint Patrick in London where he was involved with prison ministry and served as a chaplain for the Madison County Sheriff's Office. Then in 2018 he came to us at Church of the Ascension.

We’re so very thankful to Father Ghiloni for three wonderful years as our pastor and for getting us through the pandemic.

Happy retirement Father Mark!
